This simple chilled crab dip is our go-to recipe for something quick and easy to serve at parties. The powdered Italian dressing adds all the spice you need, and the finely chopped bell pepper adds some texture. Lemon juice adds the acidity necessary to balance the cheese and crab.
When using canned crab meat, I like to rinse it before using to get rid of that canned flavor.
Ingredients (can be halved)
8 oz. Cream Cheese (softened)
2 Cups Sour Cream
1 Lemon (juiced)
1 Pkg. Italian Salad Dressing
4 Tbsp. Finely Chopped Green Bell Pepper
1 Cup (2 small cans) Crab Meat
Blend ingredients together and adjust lemon to taste. Chill for about 1 hour.
Wonderful with Occasio Chardonnay or a dry sparkling wine.
