This is a unique opportunity to experience harvest first hand. We will begin at the winery with a tour of harvest operations and, if the grapes are fermenting, take a try at punching down. We will then proceed to Sidewinder Lounge where you will learn the true history of red wines in Livermore Valley and get a behind the scenes look at the decision making that goes into growing and harvesting the fruit. You will sample the grapes and see what we look for in ripeness. Then you will see how we turn the fruit into wine.
Attendees will leave with an in-depth understanding of Occasio’s artisanal approach to crafting wine – and a bottle of our 2014 Heritage Cabernet.
