A Thanksgiving Message

Thanksgiving Dinner matching the memories not the food

Every evening I shall sit down to dine with you. Not with my body, which is of no importance, but with my soul. Because this evening I have learned, my dear, that in this beautiful world of ours, all things are possible.

Babette’s Feast

In the closing moments of Babette’s Feast, author Isak Dinesen captures wine’s mystical power to reveal our shared values and enhance our sense of belonging. And nowhere is this communal power of wine more apparent than during Thanksgiving, when friends and family reunite to catch up with each other’s lives. Wine greets us with a toast, enhances our meal, and brings out the storyteller in all of us.

Please, enjoy a little wine with this year’s meal. Then, as your dinner comes to a close, I hope that you can sit back and let the convivium of family and good friends, food and good wine work their magic. Contentment will settle in, and, for the moment, all will be right with the world.

From our Occasio family to all of you, we wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving.
